::staying afloat.::

projects still kinda piling.
and i'm trying to do up an analysis of cerebos's value chain.
i should have an incentive.
83.5% of shares are held by suntory in japan. and the endorsers of suntory have to be kinki kids :)

how small can the world get?
my primary school classmate turned out to be rina's roommate in the first semester!!
and i realised there are alot of my pri sch mates from nyjc.
thanks to information from friendster. as i mentioned before, friendster can conjure a few surprises~

me and rina also made a secret discovery on edventure.
not a very nice one anyway ;)

::in the quiet of the cits lab.::

its not yet october.
and musicmind with the special edition DVD is out of print at cdjapan.
i didn't know their popularity was that high XD

more news. a V6 museum will open in shibuya on the 11th oct for a limited period only.
couldn't decipher much of it, but seems like there will be figurines of them, along with a christmas tree on display?!
haha. what an interesting idea -.-"

stumbled across this too.
something VERY useful for me =)

::crinkled paper all over the desk::

i find what inocchi said in his book right.
whenever teachers ask any questions during class, there is a deafening silence that envelopes the class.
he was wondering why it is so hard for students to say something, even a "no" if the teachers asks if there are any questions.
and because everyone's keeping silent, there's no incentive for anyone to say anything, even if he HAS a question.
how true.
yes, i'm guilty of it too. somehow even if i know an answer to a question and nobody's answering a cold call, i'll still keep quiet.
i don't know why, but it happens.
all the time o.O

received a sms from ying asking what i want for my birthday.
is it a compliment that every year everyone asks what i want? coz nobody ever knows.
i'm not accusing anybody of not bothering, but... whatever.
am i that hard to get presents for?
i guess so. it took me an entire day just to think of something they could get me. the best thing would of course be cash.
but that's so impersonal, in my opinion.

anyway, that message DID cheer me up. on a dreary monday morning at 8.30am.
=)

oh. and tickets are only on sale on the 16th.
a long wait~

::delirious state.::

planned out my schedule for the remaining of the semester.
looks real bad.
too many datelines and projects. which leaves no time for studying.

somebody should seriously force the facts of negative effects excessive caffeine causes into my head.

and my bittorrent is screwed.

i'm not coherent so i should probably sleep now.

--- 23:48 ---

::it's all the mind.::

surfing through entertainment news on yahoo resulted in these:

- kyoko fukada will join domoto brothers band as a pianist from 29sep.
- tomomi kahala will also join db as a chorus singer.
- yamap and kame will form a new johnny's unit 「修二と彰」. this will be the third johnny's cross-unit formation since j-friends and torajiXhaiji.

oh my.
that gives me less incentive to watch dk. kyoko fukada will now have her chance to flirt with koichi. the comparisons she made on shoujiki shindoi already gave me a bad impression. now this.
and i don't like tomomi kahala either. too act cute when she's already 31 and looks it, and she can't sing at all :|
plus, i don't like kame either.
put it another way, kat-tun doesn't conjure positive images except for junno.
why can't yamap be put with someone better?

gakkou had a special on 20th sep!! how come i wasn't aware?
finally, something to brighten up my day..
38 days to 1st nov! =)

A 帽子
B メガネまたはサングラス
C ピアスなどのアクセサリー
D ベルト

おしゃれのポイントをどこにおくがで、恋愛においてなにを重視するかが見えてくる。。。
A=まさに“頭”を重視。どれだけビシュアルがよくても、頭が悪かったらサヨナラ。
B=目になにかをかけるのは、心をのぞかれるのが苦手だから。ストレートにものを言うタイプより、おだやかな癒し系を好む。
C=耳やアクセサリーが暗示するのは、金品。ズバリ、お金持ちが好き。
D=ベルトは腰にするもの⇢腰は安定をあらわす。好きになる相手には信用や頼りがいを求める。年上のやさしい人がベスト!

::thinking of better days.::

so, the holidays are ending.
that leaves 8 more weeks to the end of term.
a tough and hectic 8 weeks.
201 project, board meeting and IT project to complete in the timeframe.
not to mention exams.

i don't mind projects. but when a single project takes up 35% of the final grade, it's really too much.
what if something goes wrong?
i'd rather 2 different projects. so that risk will be spread out.

met hong and rina on friday to discuss the said project. IT.
ended up at the new central library to do research. i haven't done research at a library ever since i can remember...
it was fun though. but why can't we bring our bags into the reference section on the 8th floor? the guard only let us have our laptop and plain paper.
oh well. at least that lent our bibliography more credit.
next friday's the deadline! and that question alone takes up 45% of the project grade. ew.

upgraded my msn to version 7.5!
now its totally in japanese. how.. different~

happy mid-autumn festival everyone!!

::online retail therapy.::

preordered from yesasia last night!
i got the limited edition with the DVD. special goods don't hold it that much for me. although there're 4 bonus tracks, with only 1 in the one i ordered.
i got it with LIVE FOR THE PEOPLE VCD.
no choice, the DVD cost a hundred plus bucks. besides i only need to make it to 50USD to qualify for free shipping.
my total added up to 50.48USD. yey~

::singing in silence.::

i'm a spoilt kid. i have to turn on the air-con when i'm home in the afternoons.

anyway, it was interesting looking through the music station oricon chart toppers for the past 13 years.

top sellers at a glance:
1992: 君がいるだけで / 愛してる (米米CLUB)
1993: YAH YAH YAH / 夢の旅人 (CHAGE & ASKA)
1994: innocent world (Mr. Children)
1995: LOVE LOVE LOVE / 嵐が来る (Dreams Come True)
1996: 名もなき詩 (Mr. Children)
1997: CAN YOU CELEBRATE? (安室奈美恵)
1998: 誘惑 (GLAY)
1999: だんご3兄弟 (速水けんたろう、茂森あゆみ他)
2000: TSUNAMI (サザンオールスターズ)
2001: CAN YOU KEEP A SECRET? (宇多田ヒカル)
2002: independent "H(independent, July 1st, HANABI" (浜崎あゆみ)
2003: 世界で一つだけの花 (SMAP)
2004: 瞳をとじて (平井 堅)

the japanese actually do have a taste in music.

::ハダカの人生.::

back from town~
been a long time since i've been there.

saw this minute and coolest fujitsu laptop. P-series one half the size of mine.

mise, as usual, had minimal V6 stuff.
hmv was having this mini-sale with several CDs at $17.95.
but.. still too expensive for me :P
how come i can't find mr. children CDs anywhere in sg? hmv doesn't carry it, and nobody is selling it on yahoo auctions.
and songs from the late 80's to early 90's are selling at an average of $70 per album!

got myojo from kino after browsing through it at the magazine counter. distracted by the V6 article, which was the reason i got it in the end.
but the price a week ago was $17.70. it was $14.40 today! plus my discount, i got away with paying $12.90. but its still way far from the original price of 500yen, which translates to $7plus here. -mumbles-
the article was basically a questionnaire set by V6 themselves.
and the personality tests were quite accurate. at least in my case.
inocchi's family is in japan for a visit! haha. that was a VERY random fact..

did nothing more than the above-mentioned.
met beng kiong, meng poh, charissa and wendy on the way back. said hi.. why is he always with them? o.O

note of the day: i really detest china people.

--- 18:44 ---

::religion.::

meeting chris later at takashimaya to window shop.
reason being she's at church service now.

a relatively new convert, or should i say believer, she now attends church regularly every sunday morning and cell group activities on wednesday night AND prayer meetings on friday nights.
i'm not against people having a religion, but there's no reason for me to believe it exists. more so that it doesn't.
in either 2000 or 2001, the entire VJC soccer team converted to christianity, and subsequently, it was the first year they qualified for the finals.

my verdict? conincidence.

being in a religion is fine. no need to go around preaching to everyone day and night about how good your god is when it isn't even proven that he existed.
i know a fair share of people who do it and associate everything with the greatness of god, especially christians.
and that gets on my nerves real bad, coz i have the impression they are simply trying to act noble. do not correct me.
fine if your audience is interested, but not if they aren't.
just imagine if i talk about v6 day and night all the time.

irritated? i suppose.

::colour the sky grey.::

beginning of a virtually non-existent holiday.
yep, its officially the one-week break all schools have in the middle of term.
come to think of it, the first 7 weeks have passed in a blur.

but, my holidays are almost gone before they even start.
can't believe i'll be spending almost my entire holidays back in school. AB218 is compulsory and the pile of graded projects won't make the rest of term a breeze either.

i'm damn far behind in tutorials and academic work because of projects.
all my notes and tutorials are also scattered over my table.
and i HATE packing and filing =(

::warm, fuzzy feeling.::

said i was aspiring to be on hiatus..
yappa, can't tear myself away from the internet. or computer for that matter.

gakkou e ikou summer special 2005 was one of the BEST episodes EVER.
6 of them went on a holiday to kyushuu where they totally enjoyed themselves.

some stuff they did:
play in a waterfall, requiring them to jump from sort of cliff into the rushing water far below. hiro and masa were so funny when they refused.
inocchi conducting a mini V6 medley in the car. and the 5 of them bullying masa into driving almost the entire time. the car conversation was totally hilarious though.
went on a boat ride and were so fascinated by dolphins. especially go, who was yelling almost all the time.
trying to get food for meals from students and failing to find accomodation for the night. they subsequently spent it in the car and inocchi and ken's scandalous comments in the dark were totally funny XD. that night, woken to play fireworks where go commented it was boring, then at 4am to start moving again.
watched the sunrise in kumamoto and they looked so relaxed.
went to a blueberry farm where instead of picking berries for breakfast, they took to scaring masa with kuwagata, a kind of beetle. seeing him so scared was hilarious!! and junichi, the kuwagata king had to play some more~
inocchi failing as navigator, and ken nearly driving the car into another. made junichi and the others scared of him as a driver.
took a plane to okinawa where they were disappointed by the non-performance of a regular of the show.

yea. that's basically it for the 2hr show. oh and 17th august was the live recording in yokohama and the 6 of them looked so cute wearing yukatas! ken and junichi pulled it off best though~
but inocchi was in his unkempt mode...

my eyes feel swollen.
and i have a long week ahead.

I am nerdier than 50% of all people. Are you nerdier? Click here to find out!

::-::

charlie and the chocolate factory was quite entertaining.
johnny depp stole the show. i still think he looks like the lead singer from T.M.Revolution in his getup.

but..
very very backward in everything with all that slacking the entire week.
aspiring to be on hiatus this week.
seriously need to get down to work.

--- 22:44 ---

::feeling lazy..::

its difficult to get started on tutorials when you don't know how to do anything.
the stormy weather and soothing music makes it even harder.

and my gakkou e ikou summer special is taking gazillion years to complete =(

::i want that chirashi!!::

somebody is selling this on japan yahoo auctions.

but the auction closes soon at 10,000yen and the seller only ships overseas on condition that japanese must be used for transaction details.

thinking back, its SGD156 for a piece of cardboard he threw to the fans. never mind that it is personally signed by him.

notice how i blogged everyday for a week?
shows that i'm spending too much time on this rubbish. watching new clips, variety shows and all. this doesn't look good.

and before i leave, here's how he looks as max bialystock in the producers.
personal opinion: nOOoOOO~

::trapped within.::

storming outside.

and i'm sitting comfortably in my air-conditioned room alternating between staring at my computer screen through my glasses and the torrents of rain outside.
listening to GLAY's 「ずっと二人で」 in this weather can have a strangely calming effect.

it's one of those rare days where i don't have lessons on a weekday.

then my gaze shifts to my left.
on the side of the bookshelf, from the wall calendar, he stares down at me. my fav picture of the 12 months worth.
below it, the same face on the uchiwa has stared abit smugly at me for more than a year already.
on my desk, the similar expression greets me from the cover of my file.
my laptop is on my right, and the indifferent expression faces me yet again from my desktop wallpaper, the best one of my collection.

and i was thinking of getting a huge poster to put up behind me, albeit one with a different expression.

nah, i probably shouldn't.

edit: FDA concert was really good! TSUYO!!
with that, i announce my official withdrawal from hiatus of johnny's music.

::sukiyanen, osaka.::

very cute PV and i like the song!!

very festival, kanjani-sounding song.
i just realised how pretty shota is. although he still can't compare to junichi.
my tacchon acted very silly though. thought he wasn't capable of such antics XD
and ryo was super super cute. despite looking very short and small next to the others. but he was real cute and girl =X
subaru actually looks pleasant on the eye in this too.
only thing that's lacking, and everybody will agree, is uchi.
i can just imagine him acting silly in the PV.

but the song really rocks!
i wanna go osaka!!
