it doesn't feel like an entire year has passed.
nevertheless, 2006 has been good.
one can only hope 2007 will be better.

it was a fun trip =)
but thirteen days worth of pictures is going to take an eternity to upload;
so i'm not going to heh.
barcelona (13th - 16th)
; nice room with a terrace and a sorta cute receptionist
; got lost in the confusing streets
; shopped along the street which was like a hugeeee paragon
; had ALOT of paella
; ate rabbit and drank sangria (spain's specialty wine) with two entertaining filipino waiters of which one of them asked me whether i believed in love at first sight... and later served us creme brulee with i*heart*u and 143 on top of it
; bought a 1.5 litre bottle of sangria for 99cents
; one of us got mugged on the train :(
madrid (16th - 17th)
; less happening than barcelona
; very VERY crowded
; continued our nightly drinking
milan (18th-19th)
; stella's birthday!
; shopping in the shopping district and discovered 99% of the stuff were way out of budget
; got stopped and subsequently kissed by this random italian guy in a blue santa claus suit (no more explanation :P)
venice (20th)
; met up with ky, ailing and robert and had a nice bedroom suite
; ride on a gondola
; explored the markets and had gelato
florence (21st)
; many monuments and abit of shopping
; had the nicest carbonara ever (at 7,50 its the cheapest around sigh)
rome (22nd)
; had to do a bag deposit since it was a day visit
; visited alot of sights including a fountain that would supposedly make your wish come true if u threw a coin in back facing it
; taught robert and ky bridge while sitting in a public area with all our luggage around us
; spent the night at the airport :(
paris (23rd - 26th)
; visited the effiel tower at night, which was spectacular, but nearly froze us all coz i'm sure it was near freezing temperature
; louvre museum was quite nice and it supposedly requires three days to complete the entire viewing
; champs-elysees- the orchard road of singapore housed the world's largest louis vuitton shop and it was packed of which half was japanese
; cathedral of notre dame that had a massive queue in front of it
; christmas eve party in our hotel where almost everyone got either drunk or woozy except yours truly and ky... many silly things done :P (read: half a bottle of sangria and 5 bottles of wine for 5 people)
; disneyland paris on christmas day with the classic rides and a christmas parade that was less than half an hour long =X
and i returned to manchester to
crash 16 hours on the bed =)
spain, italy and france from the 13th to 26th december.
till then :)
and yes, happie 21st birthday mars!!
make sure patrick smells of chocolate n anna sui :D
did a massive update on my laptop..
and had a hard time trying to find the navigstion buttons after that =X
i'm kinda glad i ended up staying in manchester over the weekend...
friday night was dinner, cutting up an entire pineapple ky and i bought on impulse, slacking in the pool place before going up to squirrels bar to crap over drinks.
thennnnn went out to buy supper;
pizza and spicy wings (of which two ended up inedible =X)
ended off the night with asshole daidi...
first time in a long awhile since the initial days here :)
saturday was a treated dimsum lunch (thanks daniel! and congrats on finally getting your scholarship $) before walking around piccadilly in search of a BIG backpack for me to bring on the year-end trip.
being the always indecisive person...
didn't manage to get it then.
walked around the christmas markets abit more before heading back to dinner...
...prepared by daniel and moses while three of us girls watched X-factor (british version of american/sg idol) hurhur.
should have taken a picture of two guys chopping stuff and at the stove while the girls stood by and looked :P
and ky's friend zhifeng came over from london...
with a box of krispy kremes haha!
went for a night drive to the lowry area later in the rented car too.
couldn't see much though, but it was just a nice feeling :)
in a MPV which was supposed to be a four-seater, but ended up seating seven, with two in the boot haha.
probably going to trafford center later to stone oops~
flying to spain on wednesday morning!
hope everything is settled by then...
...and i still can't bring myself to read fanfics D:

can you guess where i went last weekend?
(click to enlarge)
heh. self-explanatory...
but it was much nicer this time round;
nice weather-
free and easy exploring :)
cute guard at buckingham palace;
tralfagar square; st. james park;
and oxford street, where we bumped into by accident while wandering around leicester square (theatre land) and on our way to soho.
oxford street is madness.
think chinese new year shopping in chinatown area.
and i found UNIQLO!! but where are my tshirts?? :(
wanted to catch a musical in west end;
but it was too last minute and all the nicer shows were sold out sigh.
took a threepointfivehour free walking tour the next day;
led by a funky guide who's half swedish half japanese heh...
but she was real knowledgeable and we went back learning that half (or more than) the prominent buildings in london had been burnt down during different times in history o.O
went past most of the main attractions.
royal courts of justice; temple church (think da vinci); parliament house; westminister abbey.
london is divided into two main cities;
city of london (where the financial district is) and city of westminister.
learnt abit about history of london, took a long walk along river thames, under its numerous bridges and sneaked a peek down 10 downing street.
and that week of fireworks in early novemeber was to celebrate guy fawkes day... something that we learnt haha.
walked more around harrods in knightsbridge.
and saw a chocolate hamper selling at twohundredfifty pounds.
and i was joking that two of those would be enough for me to fly to and from manchester!!!!
much nicer trip than the first time we went.
partly because we weren't caught in the traffic but travelled on foot and by tube;
and we saw much more than expected.
or rather for mars, shopped more than expected huh? :P
but reminded me of big cities like singapore and tokyo, as compared to manchester itself.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!!
hehe.. older again ya? :P
argh i can't correct the frame code :(
dear isabel,
you need to stop ________, _________ and ________ because you're already a legal adult and its time to make all these crap thoughts go away and concentrate on what you really want to acheive, whether its being the professional accountant or the japanese entertainment expert.
