so i'm back.
after four and a half months;
back to singapore where its hot and sunny;
where i had two project meetings and lessons from 9am to 530pm straight on the first day back;
and japanese food to wrap it up.
had quite a rave night before leaving manchester.
drank quite abit-
almost everyone, yours truly included, got into different levels of intoxication,
and quite abit of dancing done =P
finally feel settled down,
after that long first day.
and thanks to everyone who made the four and a half month stay so enjoyable, mainly-
the ntu gang- mars stella kokyew robert
the perm students- moses daniel
the nus gang- james zixiang claudia
and the neighbours plus a few more random people.
so..
goodbye manchester;
goodbye sub-ten-degree weather;
goodbye relaxed days;
goodbye slacking in green court 3's common room;
...
and most importantly,
goodbye freedom and independence.
i'll miss you guys.
my grandmother passed away in china..
barely twelve hours after i touched down in singapore.
in the close to five months here,
i've accumulated twelve V6 singles thru online auctions..
which cost me slightly less than eightybucks.
..that leaves me with fourteen more to go.
some things never change.
it just snowed :)
after raining ice in the afternoon
...six days to going home :(
i'm dreading it.
帰りたくない :(
i went for the econs paper today;
which was held in a simple lecture theatre...
and found out that;
the ENTIRE paper was similar to the past year's one.
they didn't even bother to rephrase the questions...
oh wells.. i hope the other papers are at least similar to the sample exam papers provided.. and then yours truly will be a very happy girl :)
and there's this little attendance sheet to be completed each time you take a paper;
plus you have to fill in your details in the top right hand corner of the answer booklet which is to be folded downwards and sealed with salive to conceal your identity to the markers.
interesting eh?
my room's in a state worse than anything it has been back home right now.
but thirteen days left...
don't really see the point in cleaning up.
why do half my clothes smell of cigarette smoke?
mamma mia! with mars zx and robert on a wednesday matinee show at the palace theater. six rows from the front in the center, eighteen pounds.
not complaining.
i love the music, especially the strong bass beat along to ABBA songs...
the lead guy had great hair and looked italian, the older female lead had a superduper powerful voice and the older male lead could sing very well.
you could tell it was an excellent show~~
*
i know i'm a phlegmatic person.
i'm trying to change it; and it doesn't matter if anyone doesn't see my efforts.
what matters is that i made the effort :(
am starting dreaded econs tomorrow
if you wanted to know.
why can't i bloody get my priorities right?
ten things i love that start with the letter "V".
1. V for V6 - after all these years...:)
2. V for Victory - who doesn't like winning?
3. V for Vegetable - am appreciating the abundance of it in singapore
4. V for Vision - please treasure your eyesight everyone!
5. V for Vacation - oh yes.
6. V for Video - what would i do without clubbox and bittorrent?
7. V for Value - X)
8. V for Vocabulary - and the love for language
9. V for Voice - one of the foundations of songs..
10. V for Variety - always works.
...and i've a resolution for 2007!
.i'm.gonna.pass.JLPT2.with.flying.colours.
oh yes i am.
do you know-
the feeling of wanting to tell someone about a series of stuff,
but then not really wanting to after all,
for fear of judgement?
that's how i'm feeling right now.
strange;
that i've never felt this way ever before.
maybe i've just come to a big realisation or some sort of enlightment.
but on the other hand,
some things just deviate too much from social norms
that the fear of judgement isn't just inherent
it is almost a given;
no matter how much you place your trust in that person.
forget it,
i'm crapping.
this is what sleeping at five.a.m. for five days straight does to your mind.
after a successful shopping trip with stella and mars at piccadilly the entire day after waking up near noon;
where i bought shoes and an eightpound blazer (!),
it is time i get myself motivated for the upcoming exams.although a pass in two out of five is all i need.
1/15: environmental econs
1/16: financial markets & institutions
1/19: audit
1/25: financial derivatives
1/26: advanced corporate finance
figured out if i put it down,
stark reality will hit me straight in the face.
and happie birthday laypeng!!
although i found out you haven't been reading this (!!) =P
despite some bad reviews, i thought this year's concert was good;
it was the best way to accommodate everyone (read 101 people) without shining too much spotlight on a single person.
(although i very much preferred when it was solely j-friends)
and what happened to hikaru genji and otokogumi songs!?!? :(
anyway, anti-johnny's readers can skip the entire post :P
subunits were in this year too.. like:
