results from manchester are out.

so..
first class honours for a subject i barely attended lessons and
second lower class for a subject with the examination questions exactly the same as the previous year's.

i SO can't do econs haha..

why do i feel alienated from this place?

many must have heard my complaints already so i shall not harp more on the fact that all my four modules have something along the lines of presentations/projects/quizzes to be touched on during the term break-
which starts today.

its the first day of the chinese new year today;
and as usual, its a day for me to stone away at home...
so this shall be a random post.

inocchi's book on the left, tsuyoshi's one on the right
have been alternating between these two books for nightime reading;
and the feeling of the two is almost opposite.
shan't bore anyone with details, but they make for a very intersting read :)

met up with the anderson girls at settler's hollandv saturday night for a combined ying's birthday and friendship day celebration.
full attendance! plus one... (haha)
first time in a long while.. eight conflicting schedules are a near impossible task~

was fun =)
don't know whether we'll be able to do this in the future.. with three busy busy auditors in the group.. and two more working adults.
and i'm glad you gals liked what i got back from manchester!
(because i am seriously NOT an accessories person =X)

speaking of manchester, pictures on mars' blog with us slacking in green court three's common room really brings back alot of memories :)
...but i met them last night!
all the exchange students from ntu and nus were there save claudia and ky.
played a few brainless games at minds cafe before celebraing zx's birthday in swensens.. where they forgot to charge us for the thirtydollar cake heh..

did a little catching up and reminiscing..
after all, its been only two weeks since we returned (seems like forever though).
went for drinks after that-
seems like the uk thing to do.. since i only do that once in a purple moon =X
and thanks to stella's friend (whose name i didn't catch due to the noise from the live band) who gave me a free ride home :)

and stella!
don't think you can bribe me into meeting you more often by returning my stuff slowly hor...:P

..and the aftermath of the weekend is..
my cough and fever has taken a turn for the worse oops.

in other words,
week 4 (1 for me) of school is over and i have done two presentations in the four days i've been back.
don't know how i did it, considering the slack-ness of life in manchester.
but this could have been a good thing-
no need of any more wake-up calls to get down to work.
given that i already know how farrrrrrrr i am behind :(

i have a placement test today for japanese pre-advanced level-
and hopefully two interviews coming up in addition to all the catching up.

why is life in singapore so hectic?
and does it even make our degree more recognised?

i miss manchester, and europe.
just give me this last day to slip back into regressive mode and lament the differences in student life.
