- V6 (2007)

so.. five people checked in a grand total of 99.5kgs of luggage yesterday..
of which about thirty five belonged to yours truly.
japan was great great GREAT!
would be even better if i could spend the entire june there *wishful thinking*!
in brief:
5/14:
x ainu village
they are an interesting race but had to meet with such a fate sigh.
x noribetsu hell valley
throwing apples down to feed the bears was damn cute!
x lake toya
our ryokan was facing the tranquil lake and there was even a fireworks display; unlike anything i've seen in singapore or london.
5/15:
x otokoyama sake factory
BESTest sake ever tasted; unlike the burning sensation hard liquor gives.
x ramen village
(!!!!!) enuff said.
5/16:
x ryusei and ginga twin waterfalls
hardly noticeable and they become frozen falls in the winter, which can reach negative thirty degrees in february!
x snow mountain
where there was REAL snow and therefore the entire group spent a long time playing with it. really pretty.
x fox village
hands up if you don't already know that's my favourite animal =X
x sounkyo
town with pretty pretty scenary. there was a stream right outside our hotel window!
5/17:
x shopping
around sapporo station and odori park, susugino later.
x ishida chocolate factory
which produces hokkaido's most famous chocolate; don't worry.. if you're reading this, probably there's some for you.
x best dinner ever
KOBE BEEF. ENOUGH SAID.
5/18:
x seafood market
by now, we were already stuffed to the brim with the best scallops, crabs, mussels, urchins and other seafood.
x otaru
yubari melon which carried a price of ¥80,000 for one (~SGD1,045) in auctions, double cream puffs, music box factory, and coffee in hello kitty cups that you can bring back
flight back to tokyo
5/19: from here onwards.. we were on our own, while the rest of the group returned to singapore....
x hotel sunlite shinjuku
our abode for the next six days.
x odaiba!
is fully built on reclaimed land; fuji tv station was really pretty at night!
5/20:
x tsukiji fish market
where we missed the auction of fresh fish..
x ginza
the roads are closed off for the public to stroll and bask in the sun on sundays;
and hardly affordable stuff.
think its only in japan where you see the louis vuitton boutique packed and every other person buying stuff o.O
x shinjuku + kabukicho
explored shinjuku and its 19 exits from the train station.. and walked into kabukicho near midnight (japan's most famous red light district)
5/21:
x shibuya
the infamous shibuya 109, and my favourite TSUTAYA which sells second hand CDs at low low prices =)
x special mention: jimmy mackey
.. and he looks tons better in person. (fyi: he's an ex-johnny)
5/22:
x asakusa
tokyo's cultural capital and shopped along nakamise shopping street. the previous time we went on a sunday, it was impossible to walk through =X
drew a lot for fun. "吉" was what it said~
x famous asakusa tendon
no pictures.. sad :(
5/23:
x release of "ジャスミン", V6's 31st single
too bad they didn't make it to #1 although i chipped in and bought 1 out of 3 versions, but 桑田圭介's 「明日は晴れだな」 really deserved #1 la...
x johnny's shop in harajuku
where we saw many girls in the queue buy more than ¥10,000 of ¥150 photos (the worst one we saw spent ¥22,500!! ~SGD288).
the cashier was quite shocked when i paid for my ¥1,500 worth of stuff after queuing almost half an hour to PAY. still needed a little encouragement to get FOUR photos heh.
x ikebukuro
animate japan, kbooks and my favourite MANDARAKE. almost wanted to buy the entire shop down; mostly its BL doujinshis. sunshine city also helped me accumulate more kittys =X
5/24:
x harajuku
BOOK.OFF; my favourite hangout in harajuku. second hand manga selling for ¥105!!! thats about a dollar plus SGD! wanted to buy so many of them and the parents did not help by asking me to just go ahead because the 100kg weight limit would be impossible to exceed. in the end? bleah.
not to mention all the idol shops selling fangirl goods, both official and unofficial (^^)v
now you know where i spend the most $$....
also paid a visit to yoyogi national park and the olympic stadium (1964), and incidentally the place where V6 hold their annual concerts. went aoyama and visited the theatre too! too bad there wasn't time to go to the one SHOCK is performed.
PS: there's a really nice tonkatsu shop along takeshita dori too :)
5/25:
x krispy kremes
started queuing at 630am in the rain(!) but was yummy!
wanted to hang around shinjuku's uniqlo but we had so much luggage and it was raining real heavily so we decided to just head for our narita hotel.
wanted to check out AEON shopping mall in narita but got bored of it within 15 minutes..... and so in the end, we spent the entire night packing our 99.5kgs worth of luaggage haha.
5/26:
so i'm back.. and wishing i'm still there sigh.
the TV was my staple in japan. so so many shows to catch every night!
monday; HEY!HEY!HEY!, yamap's drama, SMAPXSMAP
tuesday; gakkou e ikou! MAX, junno's drama
wednesday; bleach, inocchi's drama, shoujiki shindoi and sometimes KATTUN
thursday; utaban, hotelier, VVV6
friday; music station, r30
saturday; mechamecha iketeru, go's drama, CDTV
sunday: domoto kyoudai, mentore G
.. and that is only the night programmes which excludes sumo and baseball, sports that i originally liked to watch anyway =X
*
and now.. some pictures.....
been playing quite abit of mahjong (fourth time after exams!) these few days...
heh the jc classmates are really mahjong freaks~
flying off in approximately fifteen hours.
and me hasn't packed, nor showed signs of starting to pack..
but really looking forward to hokkaido;
the prospect of enjoying the slack life for one week in cool weather is very appealing right now :)
and i don't need you to remind me that i should spend money on clothes and the like instead of other stuff due to the lack of them to last for the two-week trip.
inocchi turns 31 on the 17th!
happie birthday in advance ^.^

先日、すっっごい言葉を言われた =(
こっから、もっと女らしくになれ。
自分の形で..
have been guilty of abandoning "project clear-room" for other activities these past few days..
but some good things came out of it so i guess procrastination does have its merits sometimes.
the primary school trio reunion!
was quite unbelievable actually, but was glad to meet eileen after six years after we lost contact =)
and realised that shopping is indeed a national sport (not mahjong!), since nine out of ten people list shopping as a favourite pasttime.
at least among people i know.
vivocity for the second time ever.
reminds me of manchester arndale.. people who know what i'm talking about, don't you think so?
but wasn't impressed with it, despite all the reviews.
plus the fact that it is fairly inaccessible for me, chances are that yours truly will not be spotted there easily.
give me my wisma and taka anyday~
and was especially pissed off today by the erratic weather =X
a simple route of bus number 167 then a 20-minute walk home evolved into 167, 169 then 804 to get home just because it started raining when i was halfway back on 167 bah!
maybe its time to start bringing umbrellas out.
wait, probably bringing a bag comes first on the agenda.
and..
sorrie for not turning up to send you off today :(
sounded quite disappointed over the phone wor.. give you a treat when i get back okays?
spent an ideal day at home.
can't even remember the last time i spent an entire day like that, without anyone else around.
...so the "ideal" day at home went like this:
8.00:
crawled out of bed, washed up and spent the next 3 hours attacking the past x day's newspapers with music blaring in the background. (saikou! =))
11:00
lunch, check mails, forums and blogsurf.
12:00
shakugan no shana-ed from episode 4 to 13, with occassional breaks taken to play mindless online games.
17:30
read two chapters of my novel and scanned through two volumes of manga, half falling asleep throughout.
19:00
dinner and travel planning for next week's trip :D
21:30
started crapping on msn... all the way till now...
can't believe how nua-ed i was the entire day!
but don't foresee any more in the coming weeks.. unless plans to meet various people fall through.. *choy!*
but seriously.. people these days have become very busy in "going out"; they are often forced to prioritise who to entertain at a certain point in time (even though the original appointment was made a long time ago).
anyway.. *shrugs*
eight days to the land of the rising sun.
don't think i've ever been so excited about a holiday o.O
some kinda closure of sorts entry.provided i successfully graduate.
although what i did wasn't my ideal degree, it wasn't TOO bad.
at least i didn't end up hating all the modules 24/7;
and the knowledge gained (whether or not i remember) could prove more useful in society than the ideal degree.
nevertheless, went to check out the postgraduate part time courses for that (one day before the AA206 exam =X)
conclusion is, forget it.
i don't need to know all of that as in depth as required.
and since i've got the job i kinda "favoured" for some time,
things are shaping up quite nicely.
plus, that opportunity to spend a few months overseas was one of the best things about the university life.
quite satisfied with the way three years were spent.
that's enough, isn't it.
ps: changi village last night was super impromptu! let's go explore more obscure places! haha =P
hollandv-ed, mahjong-ed and ended up drinking a little last night at gardens.
ha, first time out in a looooooooong while.
but asshole taidi was fun, although i think my skills are slowly going down the drain -whoosh-; and as usual i suck at bridge.
and thanks lizzie for dropping me off at twoplusam, to save cabfare :)
and two shots of the "self proclaimed uninteresting people" sum up my mood right now;
