::looking forward::

asides from work, i'm looking forward to the next weekend =)

company welcome night on friday at zouk-
will be my first time there (yes, i'm not kidding)
with free flow food till 9pm, and drinks till 11pm.
shall not be AS and not turn up haha.

this is from two fridays ago at brewerkz:

the july batch of G2s in my unit =) (missing marilyn, melissa and david)

saturday will be dinner (and i strongly suspect more drinks) with the manchester gang at vivo.
heard that everyone will be there o.O
haven't seen some of them since manchester wors...

lunch then shopping with the anderson gals on sunday.
hope they won't find me a horrible person to shop with; since we're going to look for the laptop bag for me heh =X

work-wise, nights are getting longer sigh.
or maybe i'm just slow;
but cabbing home after midnight three nights in a row isn't what i expected.
having a small friendly chat with the partner coz i was the last second person to leave the office also wasn't on the agenda.

what happened to project W2D2? (for those who know)
...and it's NOT even the peak period boo =(

i need to stop writing such long entries and sounding like a grandmother =\

::to krabi and back...::

...without bringing a camera (on purpose).

well, what can i say-
company was good, but i can safely conclude i'll not be heading back to thailand again unless i absolutely have to.

or perhaps its just krabi, but the cleaniless and hygiene there was HORRENDOUS.
and i don't really fancy thai food either -shrugs-

but had an enjoyable three days.
got to know many more of the seniors and managers through games and "bonding sessions"-
yours truly was one of the two game marshals.
everyone really enjoyed the finale game, which was quite an achievement as none of us expected them to have so much fun =)
downside is, after making them do so much, they made us do muachee =\
but wells, it was fun-
albeit the scorching weather boo.

drinking session at the irish pub was okay...
wasn't expecting people to get wasted in front of the partners, but well, apparently... they don't really care.
don't know this year's record as yet; but i'm quite sure we beat the 30-plus people and 16 bottles of hard liquor last year haha.
(its not the company that has a chiong culture as everyone says, it happens to be THIS unit o.O)

left much earlier than expected, about eleven plus.
was expecting three/four am, but the roommate got tipsy and high and we had to catch a tut-tut (some sort of local transport) back and so i left-
after drinking two glasses of mild mixers yays~
didn't join the rest of the 1st year juniors in their indian-poker-cum-drinking session on saturday night though... not up to damaging the liver unnecessarily heh.
heard that seven people finished two bottles of black labels.

oh and i was "forced" to do up my nails haha.
got my senior really shocked though.
emo black is good o.O

returned on sunday night at eleven pm after a one hour flight delay.
that explains the stoned colleagues this morning-
and there are moments i really wished i hadn't gone so i could have cleared more work bleah.
can you believe i just got back from work?

to quote the sis, i have a black sunburnt face already, just needa make the eye circles blacker and the tone would be evened out nicely =\

::voyager ~ボイジャー~::

*translated from japanese*

with untied shoelaces, not knowing what lies ahead,
we continue running towards the setting sun.
so now we stand here, how many times have we looked over at the dazzling view;
its the anniversary of our start of our big journey.

so life as a voyager, we're going to that future,
going to the next stage is like opening a new door.
life as a voyager, we're always like the opening actor in a new world;
going towards the unseen tomorrow, we'll go the extra mile.

like a long movie without a title, like a cross-faded song,
we carve and conquer our future like nobody can.
even at night when we cried with regret, days filled with love will come,
with noise that strains our ears-
that time is now?

so life as a voyager without a map, we've relied on ourselves as we progressed through the unknown route;
life as a voyager, we're always like the opening actor in a new world;
now unblinking, we go the extra mile.

"how far can we go; what kind of people we will become?"

10 years later, even 100 years later,
we'll still be shouting in this corner of the planet;
this is still the true me.
days so far haven't been worthless, its not my nature to desert what i have,
do i hear me, with me, i'll bring everything along.

so life as a voyager, we're going to that future,
going to the next stage is like opening a new door.
life as a voyager, we strain our eyes;
everything is burned deep into our hearts.
we'll make a new album, yep, we'll sing; how many more times?
we're always like the opening actor in a new world;
now unblinking, we go the extra mile.

not 100% accurate but..
motivating lyrics eh?

::PR (of sorts)::

terrible week at work sigh.

and many more of these ahead.. i feel really sorry for my senior :(
fucked up screwed up client.
there. but doesn't make me feel any better anyway.

but let some steam out last night at brewerkz with the batchmates.
haven't seen them for ages!
and realized we were split into three groups: citibank, hsbc and others.
yeah, yours truly is one of two proud members of the "others" :P

pump room after that, which got more and more crowded as the night went on, but i didn't really like the loud music which made it difficult to talk;
and a group of middle aged angmohs joined us halfway.
wasn't in a great mood for socializing and so... left early.
i'm so not made for clubbing la.. and NR1 was very cooperative last night~

to find out.. that IT HAS ARRIVED!!!!

arrived much earlier than expected! they only took 5 working days for 450 yen :)

theme of the album is travelling and it turned out really good!
better than musicmind, methinks, which was my favourite so far.

here goes: review of the 12 tracks~

1. Voyager ~ボイジャー~
ending theme of gakkou. very refreshing start; can just imagine travelling on a bus through the countryside with the song blasting.

2. Live Show
type of song i like. although its the usual bubblegum pop type of song =X
plus sung by 6 people, half of which have hit 30.. its a miracle they can make the song sound so young haha.

3. ユメノサキ/20th Century
typical tonisen fashion. relaxing song after the heavy-beat-with-lotsa-rap one before this.

4. ジャスミン
31st single and will always remind me of japan 2007. mainstream pop with a very catchy tune that me likes alot.

5. ROCK THE HOUSE/Coming Century
80's pop; those typically sung by people with afro hairdos haha. very different to hear it in japanese, when i usually hear english versions equivalents everywhere. and the beat is good.. for waking me up in the mornings.

6. HONEY BEAT
30th single. didn't really like it when i first heard it during countdown 2006-2007 concert. but has begun to grow on me recently. although the english grammar in the song doesn't make much sense. happy song and the white gloves and uniform during their music station perfomances were cute!

7. I give smile to you
one of my favourites in the albums, the それぞれの空 equivalent in musicmind. stylewise, a cross between korean and british ballads, with a touch of nostalgia and longing. inocchi's voice is damn good here!

8. BRAND NEW DAY, BRAND NEW LIFE
easy listening. light, poppish song with a nice unique combination of six voices.

9. Rainbow
ending theme to VVV6, speaking of which, i've missed many MONTHS of this sigh. B-side to the jasmine single, in typical V6-pop fashion.

10. 僕と僕らのあした
excellent lyrics- made me think quite abit. simple slow song :)

11. シュガー・ナイトメア
very retro song! i like it alot, especially the heavy drums and electronic guitars in the background music, which was performed by "the pillows"; an alternative rock band popular in the underground local music scene.

12. ハジマリ
simple ballad with a light beat. somewhat quiet end to the album, like sunset at the end of a long day of travel :)
my imagination can go quite wild sometimes...

but haven't watched the dvd that came with my special edition =P
small movie filmed in thailand-
how come didn't film in singapore? or least film next week when i'm there ma oops...

::weekly update.::

out with the jc gang on thursday night for dinner (okays so i didn't make it in time for dinner) and mini-stoned at coffee club in marina square.
bloody stoned at times because of something that happened in the office.
well, what's done cannot be undone so everyone's gotta just live with it *nods*
but i'm really grateful for my engagement mates, grace melissa and jean.
we can make it through to 31st dec!! =)
as they say, bank audit is the worst type of audit, clientwise.

friday night was crabs at amk.
first time to the supposedly famous place and it was not bad..
normally i don't like to have crabs outside because its really messy but thankfully there were no accidents haha.
and thanks justin for the car ride-
it is really much better than jostling with the going-home crowd on the train =\

yesterday was town day!
met marilyn to get some files to return to office since she'll be on leave next week (i also want leh..) before going to kino in search of my novel.
had every intention to get them to import it but i found it!!!!! v(^^)
read some scenes while waiting for the person to turn up (LATE as usual :P) and realised, translation DOES make a difference.

dinner then got distracted by transformers heh.
but i still like the red sports car one, and preferably on a bigger scale...
hairspray was such a happy show~
if only i could be as happy every morning on the way to work haha!
tcc later and now i'm super tempted to get that wallet =(
shall it be a birthday present for myself this year?

it is activities such as the above that leave little time for individual pursuits.
i haven't caught up with my shows and anime, my j-lang schedule and more importantly, news.
honestly, i feel like i've been living in my shell consisting of friends and work for the past few weeks *sigh*

well i guess its up to you to make time for everything~

and now, back to work boo.

and i don't know if you still read this, but take care ya?
it'll pass =)

::kutsuroge~::

hot black coffee on a rainy afternoon
with chage and aska on in the background
while cleaning up the mess in my room.

makes for a relaxing sunday afternoon :)

::content..::

yours truly woke up today at a grand time of...

...2pm. *gasp*

never felt so good in a long time (read: mid july) after a long dreamless sleep :)

met up with the jc gang after work on friday;
one of the earliest times i was allowed to leave- 7pm.
dinner at ichibanboshi and then drinks with them till late, which meant NR1 again.
had to put up a hard fight against the urge to cab home from orchard;
there comes a time when you can't really be bothered about cab fares anymore and just hope to get home ASAP.

and then today was more good food for the belated birthday celebration for my dad which was actually set for last sunday.
felt quite bad, since the sis even rescheduled her church duties last sunday to make it....
to find out that i couldn't get time off from work =\

tomorrow's a good day.
for me to spend the day curled up in bed with my newly acquired "Norwegian Wood" in english :)
...and brainstorm for the unit trip teambonding games bleah.
